BOY! not your typical sonogram picture but this is ours in a way. Group 1 of our paperwork is on its way to Gladney. We chose to specify the gender for many reasons. In an already uncertain process, it is nice to know one thing for sure! But the main reason being because the adoption process is so long and there aren't really any physical or tangible things happening like there are in pregnancy. We wanted to be able to actively "do" something while we are waiting for our little one.
I read this blog about this family who didn't know if they were getting a boy, a girl, or a sibling group. She just talked about how she didn't know what to do because she didn't know what to prepare for, all she could do was buy books and she said she was tired of buying books! It just seemed so sad and I could totally understand! So I think it will make the process maybe a tiny little bit easier knowing that we can prepare with certainty for a boy! We hope to get groups 2 and 3 in before Christmas!
We are completely humbled and grateful for the Lord's provision to get us to this point, and know that the one who calls us is faithful and He will do it.
