I have found a new favorite cookie recipe! They are Snickerdoodles and are perfect for any occasion. Here is the recipe if you feel like partaking in these delicious drops of cinnamon goodness:
1/2 c butter, softened
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar, divided
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and 1 c sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and cream of tartar; gradually add to the creamed mixture. In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and remaining sugar.
Shape dough into 1-in. balls; roll in cinnamon-sugar. Place 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake and 375 for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool. Yield 2-1/2 dozen.
I would say go for less time for sure you don't want them to be overcooked, I prefer a softer cookie to a crunchy one. Make sure to let me know if you try them out!
